Exercise for prostatitis

Exercise for prostatitis in men

Inflammation of the prostate or neoplasms in the form of adenomas that lead to urinary disorders and sexual dysfunction are a consequence of the general aging of the body or are caused by external infections and a wrong lifestyle.

Regardless of the cause of this pathology, a special set of physical exercises can greatly facilitate the process of treating and restoring prostate function in men.

General physical education, the effect of which is tripled with a healthy diet and refusal of alcohol and cigarettes, strengthens the immune and endocrine systems of men and in most cases excludes the occurrence of prostatitis even in old age.

However, if there are even the slightest signs of inflammation, such as difficulty and pain when urinating, you must consult a doctor before proceeding with self-medication. The intensity of prostatitis symptoms can be deceptive. Only after the research of a specialist can be determined the stage and nature of the course of the disease, as well as a corresponding set of physical exercises.

Patients who have been diagnosed with chronic prostatitis and are recovering from adenoma surgery are prescribed special therapeutic exercises that are performed under the supervision of a doctor. In milder forms of inflammation, the effects of drug therapy can be supported by gymnastics, which strengthens the muscles and improves blood circulation in the pelvic area. Physical activity not only stimulates the metabolism, but also relieves the psychological stress caused by the disease and supports the male body, revealing all the possibilities of self-medication.

Everyday exercise

The entire male population of the planet is subject to a sedentary lifestyle to some extent. Those who only work on the fifth point with many hours of freezing, that is, people who sit for eight hours or more daily, are advised to exercise regularly for an hour and a half and warm up briefly, regardless of where the person is.

Exercises for the prevention of prostatitis can be entered in the special training menu, or you can do just one of them as a short warm-up repeated up to ten times. All exercises are performed while standing, the first movement is inhalation, the transition to the starting position is exhalation. The back is straight, the feet do not come off the ground.

  • half squat with side knees;
  • Lift the leg bent at the knee so that the thigh line is parallel to the floor. Then transfer the extended leg behind the back. You can vary this exercise by moving your leg to one side. If you have trouble keeping your balance, you can practice with your hand on the back of the chair first. Then gradually switch to execution without emphasis.
  • Slow circular movements with an extended leg while straining the muscles of the buttocks;
  • Wide front and side lunges. In this case, the other leg bends;
  • Jump in place with two legs and alternating legs;
  • Pull up to the ceiling with your arms outstretched.

For all-day warm up, you can use exercises to contract and relax your stomach and buttocks. The main principle is to fix the most tense muscles and their gradual relaxation for a possible long time. In addition, these exercises can also be performed in a sitting position.

Climbing stairs is another easy-to-use exercise for prostatitis that strengthens your pelvic muscles. You can imitate such a step on a bench or chair, while you can perform this exercise at a different rhythm, from slow walking to fast running, depending on your level of fatigue.

The training for prostatitis and adenoma should be strictly normalized: You cannot exhaust yourself, you must absolutely observe the measure and get a load of energy and joy in training.

When exercising in the morning or exercising on the mat at home, you are doing exercises that strengthen the muscles of the pelvis and perineum and improve blood flow to the abdomen. It is important to note that training progress is measured not only by increasing reps, but also by improving technique. The stretch should increase over time, the movements become light and clear.

Most of the exercises are performed with leg movements on the back:

  • Straight legs are lifted perpendicular to the floor and held for a few seconds.
  • Extend your legs, bent at the knees parallel to the floor.
  • Leg movements such as cycling you have to perform up to 500 circular movements a day. In this case, the movement must be both clockwise and counterclockwise.
  • With your knees bent, lift your pelvis off the floor, then straighten your legs and spread them apart in opposite directions.
  • Draw circles and figures of eight with your legs. You can add variety to this exercise by keeping your legs closed and moving diagonally up and down.
  • From the prone position you have to lift your legs and spread them to the side. Fix this position for a few seconds.

You also have to practice:

  • Exercises with a training ball: rolling while sitting and lying down, pressing the ball between hips and legs, jumping into this position.
  • Push-ups from the floor for beginners - from the wall or the bar.
  • Bench Hold: Positions that focus on the elbows and feet.
  • Move while sitting on the buttocks.
  • skipping rope.
  • Bends forward from a supine position with firm feet.

In the complex of daily gymnastics, it is necessary to perform exercises to stretch the muscles and increase the flexibility of the lower spine.

Yoga against prostatitis

Before doing the exercises called asanas, you need to do some preparatory work. In order to determine which exercises are suitable in each individual case, you need to acquire basic knowledge of Hatha Yoga, achieve a certain degree of muscle stretching and master a special breathing complex.

Here is a description of three asanas that require quite a long training course to complete:

  • The legs are incompletely separated 10 cm from the floor, the body is bent and the arms extended forward touch the foot. The same is true in the other direction;
  • Straight posture, the body weight is transferred to a half-bent leg. The foot of the other leg is carried over the supporting shin, the arms are intertwined around the body;
  • Lie on your stomach, grab your ankles with your hands and arch your body as much as possible.

Invisible gymnastics for prostatitis

These are specific physical exercises indicated for prostatitis that require focus and relaxation. With their help, a unique massage effect is achieved. The exercise should be repeated several times a day with 10 to 20 repetitions.

  • Pull in the anus while breathing in, relax while breathing out. It is important to do the exercise rhythmically with two different options. In the first case, withdrawal and relaxation are performed as quickly as possible at regular intervals. In the second case, the state of maximum tension should be maintained for as long as possible, then the muscles should gradually and gradually relax - which will also prolong this process as much as possible.
  • Interruption of urination. You can literally practice cutting the flow of urine and bringing such pauses to 30 per urine. You can also simulate an interruption in urination caused by muscle contraction.

These exercises can and should be performed in the case of prostatitis and prostate adenoma, whereby the starting positions alternate: standing, sitting, lying. When done correctly, you can feel a surge of heat in the groin area. There may be minor residual pain that should go away over time.

Physiotherapy exercises

This is a special series of physical exercises used to treat prostatitis, usually combined with massages and other physiotherapy procedures, which lead to the restoration of erection, urination and defecation disorders. Such exercises, which in principle repeat the preventive gymnastics complex, are prescribed by the doctor depending on the medical history and after the urologist has decided on the question of how to treat the disease. Exercising with prostatitis can lead to increased pain. It is therefore important to do this under regular medical supervision.

Movement in chronic prostatitis is very rare. According to the urologist, exercises with simulators and the use of dumbbells and barbells to pump certain muscle groups can also be prescribed.

All kinds of physical activity - walking, running, swimming, jumping rope, cycling without medical contraindications - contribute to the treatment of prostatitis, increase the patient's vitality and improve their mood.
